- FYI, all hardware works with kubuntu/ubuntu Feisty 7.04, including the JMicron controller and the Wireless LAN. I haven't noticed any problems with the wired LAN ports either. Note that you have to disable the JMicron controller in the BIOS to get the installer to work, but after ubuntu is installed, simply add the "irqpoll" option to the list of kernel options and reenable the JMicron controller next time you boot the machine. -- --Darth Android

Hi!
First of all, I'd like to thank you for your work on your site, I bought P5W DH, and couldn't get it to work without your site :] So big thanks for that.
So, I'd like to say that I got jMicron's IDE working (that 2nd ide controller) without any fuss (installed Ubuntu 7.04 without controller, added irqpoll to kernel param's and enabled controller) or tweaking. Tried it with 200Gb and 160Gb Seagates. For wlan, it found my local network, but i couldnt connect, maybe because lack of wpa support? Lan worked also, but I cant test it with 100M+ speeds. Kernel version is 2.6.20-15-generic.
Now I go working on remote, thanks for instructions :]

Besides, I have to say, that the included LAN card works perfectly for my system. I have a 2.6.21.3 Kernel, using the sky2 driver. No problems and no hangups.
[...]
Bye,
Felix

- Hi! I have the same hardware as you, and I use kubuntu 7.04. Both LAN and WLAN work fine.
