I hacked together an extremely ugly workaround. Substitute
for the daemons subdirectory and build with dvico driver.
It doesn't use the lirc.conf file, but returns 1-b for the
asus remote keys, with the exception of 2 (which is
disabled, you'll see). It should be possible to enable the
second key and allow depress/release to be better detected,
but this is good enough for me. I've included my .lircrc
for mythtv.
